When I asked my australian friends about easter traditions, the most popular answer was “EGG HUNT”.
And I was lucky to see kids hunting chocolate eggs on Easter Sunday

World outside Australia knows nothing or almost nothing about AFL – Australian Football League. But some people know about MCG – Melbourne Cricket Ground, the massive sport theatre.

After one night there I still do not know much about the sport, but have to recognize phenomenon of 90.000 people crowd, supporting both Melbourne teams on Thursday night.
The final result:
CARLTON (blue and white) 150 – RICHMOND (yellow and black) 67.

The Seven Summits are the highest mountains of each of the seven continents.
The highest mountain on the Australian mainland is Mount Kosciuszko (2,228 m),.
However, the highest mountain on both the Australian continent and the more broadly-defined continent of Oceania is Puncak Jaya (4,884 m), in the Indonesian province of Papua on the island of New Guinea which lies on the Australian continental shelf. Puncak Jaya is also known as Carstensz Pyramid.
Last weekend I walked up Mt.Kosciuszko.

1,5 km to summit. Bicycles are not permitted beyond this point.

If You ar not an Australian, “the loaded dog” is not what You have in mind.
“The Loaded Dog” is a popular short story by iconic Australian writer and poet Henry Lawson. The humorous storyline concerns three easy-going goldminers and their dog, and the farcical consequences of leaving a bomb cartridge unattended.

The Loaded Dog Hotel, established in 1848, is located in Tarago, somewhere between Goulburn and Braidwood. Today we stopped there for a lunch and a glass of beer.

I do not know the man but he came to me and told confidentially, that on the road to Goulburn a policeman is breathalysing drivers.

“Queanbeyan Charity Rodeo featured a full eight event rodeo programme, which include the exciting rough stock events: open bull ride, saddle bronc and bare back, and the demanding timed events of steer wrestling, team roping, rope and tie, barrel racing and breakaway roping.”
Please, do not ask me to describe the rules.
